Cant Remember my Name, Where am I?

I have always been amazed in the ability of the human memory to add and subtract with absolute clarity

I receive many calls pertaining to questions about checks, many involve needing copies for personal and or business expense reports, some claim they were over charged, a few they have no idea and had bought a ton of drinks and need to explain the expense to a significant other or a boss.

Had a customer call on Friday swearing up and down she was over charged:

Pretty much standard procedure is to get the basic information to attempt to find the check
Name? Number? Date of incident? Type of Card? Amount?
Do you have a receipt? or are you looking at your online account?
What time? you would be amazed at how many people do not remember the time!
Do you remember the servers name?Description?

I often forget all they know is that they were over charged and they are not a happy camper 8-)
(details are my problem and I have instant access to every transaction and have a magic google machine that can find there check, on simple information like a date range and what they ate.  In today's world almost all transactions are coded and or unavailable with the whole protection of identity laws that are passed daily)

I was in luck she actually remember almost all the information, I looked it up and low in behold no check even came close to her description.  To be on the safe side I checked similar information for the week prior and the week after to no avail.  Now I am upset, I can usually find anything and everything when I throw my Sherlock Holmes hat on (and yes I do have one).  I give up and ask if she can get some transaction history from her Credit Card company so I can find it in my system.

I find out on Monday the reason I cant find this Damn Check.

She ate at APPLE BEES!!!!!!!!

For the Love of God at least know where you ate.  If you get confused who you are calling...

All Companies normally answer the Phone with

"Thank You for Calling COMPANY X, how may I Help You!!!"
